Denmark faced off against China on July 22nd in Perth, Australia. The game got off to a slow start, as both teams struggled to find shots on goal. Early in the second half, China had a few chances but were unable to capitalize. In the 90th minute, Amalie Vangsgaard’s header gave Denmark a 1-0 lead. This would be the first game of the 2023 FIFA Women’s Cup that didn’t have a penalty kick.
